Easy to operate cordless vibration belt for the back with red & near infrared light

This cordless vibration belt for the back is great for relaxing after a long day of standing or sitting. It has two fairly small vibration cores that are centered in the small of the back. You can choose between three different vibration levels. Even at maximum power, the vibrations are fairly moderate, but they do provide a nice, gentle massage. The belt also features numerous LEDs that emit both red (660 nm) and near infrared light (850 nm). There are three light intensities to choose from, but it looks like you cannot select the wavelengths, i.e., both wavelengths operate at all three intensities. The light adds a nice warming effect to the massage. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that it will help my muscles and other tissues recover from the strains of daily life and decrease the frequency of days where I'm suffering from a sore back.I like that this therapy belt is cordless, so I can get up and fetch a cup of tea without taking it off. The belt is not very bulky, so you could wear it comfortably while walking around or doing household chores. But I prefer to sit with my legs up to get the greatest relaxing benefit. The device is pretty easy to put on with a wide velcro strap that attached anywhere on the belt. It fits best around the waist, but I prefer to have it a little lower near my tailbone. It's difficult to keep it that low on the abdomen. It's always trying to creep up.The belt comes with basic operating instructions that are easy to follow. It also has suggestions for effective therapeutic use. The different functions are controlled by a touch panel that has separate buttons to regulate light intensity and vibration as well as a timer. To activate the control panel, you have to first push a small button at the bottom of the panel which is easy to miss. One charge supports about three treatments. I wish there was a battery indicator so I could always know how much power is left without keeping track of how many sessions I've run since the last charge. When the battery runs low, the touch panel turns red, but by then there's not enough power left to run a full session. Luckily the device can run while it's plugged in and charging. It just means that you are tethered to the charger and can't walk around.

Surprisingly effective!

Device arrived today. Came charged.I am using it as I sit here typing this. Have the device set to max for infrared, vibrate, and heat. It's warm but not too warm (I suspect that the lower settings would be to weak). The vibration is light but I do feel it. The light? Well, I can't see that - I have the belt wrapped around my waist so that the active area is on my lower back. Now, given what I've just said you probably think I'm going to say that I feel this device delivers little to no impact, right? Well, even I'm surprised to report this is not the case. Whenever I get up from my couch I feel it - especially on the right side of my lower back. I just stood up. Nothing. It's almost freaky!Is it the heat? Doubtful. I've used heating pads before without great effect.Is it the vibration? Perhaps. In case you are wondering, I can hear/feel the vibrating though it isn't loud and doesn't disturb my hearing the television. My husband, sitting on the other end of the couch, tells me he doesn't hear the sound.Is it the infrared light? I can't say. Honestly, it sounds kind of un-scientific to me but, hey, something is working here.Last word - the belt is under my shirt, against my skin. The hook & loop holds tightly (I can get up and walk with this on and it isn't slipping off). Best of all the device is not bulky or uncomfortable in any way.One suggestion I might have made? If the control box - which is permanently attached to the device - could be detached so that I can see the controls while I wear the belt. Perhaps I'll reverse the device so that the control box is upside down. Then I can look down on it and see it easily.

Didn't do much for me... but its portable!

I have some serious lower back issues (ruptured disc) so Ive tried several red light products. Generally, they haven't done much for me. One of the problems I've run into for large red light products is they are stationary and require 20-30 minutes of sitting in one space which limits how often I can use them. I like that this one is battery powered and portable. I can use it while I'm sitting or while Im cooking.Unfortunately, aside from a little heat and some muscle relaxation it hasn't done much for me. The vibrations are more of a gimmick than a useful feature. The belt is big enough to fit me (260lb male), if you are larger it may not be long enough for you. I use the device on the highest settings, so I don't expect it will do much more. Using it directly against my skin hasn't caused any problems and doesn't get too hot for me.

A little loud but very nice

I love how well this belt relaxes my lower back after a long day on my feet. My feelings on red light therapy remain somewhat skeptical, but I have been giving it a try at yoga and with this belt, plus the vibration massage alone is worth the time. The belt is well made and looks great. It is very straightforward to use, with three levels each for red light and vibration, plus a timer setting accessible by clearly marked buttons on the block. Note the tiny power button is on the bottom—it took me a moment to find it at first and can be tricky to engage without visual while wearing the belt. It works great on my back, and has plenty of length to position around any part of the torso, but is an awkward shape to wrap tightly enough around a leg or knee despite the listed suggestions in the description. My big wish would be for the massage function to be quieter. I’d love to run both functions at bedtime but I’m certain the neighbors could hear it and may confuse the sound with other things! All things said, I am very happy to have this valuable tool to accompany exercise recovery and general life soreness. Perhaps future renditions can come up with even better design solutions.

Back Pain!

I have had lower back pain since I broke my foot and threw off my lower back alignment. The red light therapy has been a must do for me hoping to help the pain. The heat function is absolutely amazing and I utilize it every time. The belt is adjustable to fit all sizes! I’m a size 4 in woman’s and it can easily fit someone much larger than me.
