Bought this rowing machine during the 4th of July sales. Seems like a Concept2 dupe, but made of heavier materials. Much heavier than a Concept2, so some heft to it. But this has a handle and wheels to move around. Compared to dismantling the concept2 rail and moving that in two-pieces.This has a lever to fold on itself to transport and make smaller. While the Concept2 you remove the rail and put away as two parts. This has a fabric chain belt instead of a metal chain one lof the Concept2. I have no idea if that is a significant difference. I do know you need to oil the metal chain of the Concept2 at some later on point. My only complaint is that the screen with your Rowing statistics. It is made to be so damn low contrast. Easy to see read on my camera picture, because the camera adjusts the shutter speed. But it is hard on the eyes, in practice.Do not worry about the red lever for adjusting the pull-strength. It does not get in the way. I have no accidentally hit it. Only a worry on the back of the mind, but it never got hit even once. Noise is about the same level of a Concept2. Will not be heard outside of the room it is left inside. Only the people in the same room will hear the air whirl.I am very satisfied with this device. Buy with confidence! Great value, especially during sales!

Assembly was not a difficult task. I did need help from my 10 year old to balance it while assembling. It is quite large. We both did a 5 minute exercise. No complaints. I am concerned about the PLASTIC rollers for the seat. Not sure about their longevity. When complete I was left with a metal plate with 4 holes. I double checked the instructions. It is not listed. Where was that supposed to go??Why do I have an extra piece??The tension adjuster is also in a rather odd place. I’ve rowed 3 times. During that I’ve hit that annoying red tension adjuster multiple times. It is stick up several inches and right in the way when rowing.

Assembly was easy to understand, but a bit inconvenient to complete. The Instructions are fairly clear and easy. I couldnt somehow get all three screws on the Release Pad, but i dont think that will matter much. Somehow I seem to have worn out the threads for the top screw. Reason i said ‘bit inconvenient to complete’ is that they have provided a bunch of Allen wrenches. But i am more used to using my Ryobi screwdriver/drill to get these things done. This product is designed in such a way, that it is not easy to use my Ryobi and i have to manually screw the hex screws and tighten them. so that is a bit painful.
But fortunately there are too many pieces to screw together. Even with that inconvenience, i got it all together in about 45 mins, doing it slowly. Gave it a test run and it felt great. Was sturdy too. I plan to try it out tomorrow. Will come back with a bunch of photos and additional comments. I havent yet linked the Bluetooth, thats for tomorrow.
