I’ve tried several rowing machines, but the Sunny Magnetic Rowing Machine stands out. The smooth resistance and easy storage options are perfect for my small apartment. Highly recommend!

Being able to track my progress with the digital monitor keeps me motivated. The versatility of exercises I can do with this machine is a huge plus. Great investment for my home gym.

The non-slip handlebars and comfortable seat make my workouts so much more enjoyable. Plus, the quiet operation means I can row while watching TV without disturbing anyone.

I put this together by myself in about an hour. Everything you need is included. It doesn’t take up much room and is quiet! I like the range of difficulty on this one, it fits my needs perfectly.

Only a week in but impressed with the quality and functionality of this product. It went together easily and all the parts were there and working. My son, who has a much more expensive rower is also impressed. The only think I don’t like is you need to catch the seat in motion as it moves down to the flywheel when not held. You have to be quick to plop on it. I’ll provide an update down the line.

This is our second rower and this one is so much better than the first. Shipped to house well, easy to set up, easy to move, This rower is a joy to use in our journey to keep healthy and fit. Both my husband and I use this rower and we both find the quality is excellent. And it was a good price!

I’m not a serious rower, but have always liked rowing machines. Long enough for 6′ tall. Good medium resistance. Had it 3 weeks–started at 4, now at 6. Hubby said easy to put toget.
Wes –
I’d recommend this If you’re looking for a cardio workout. If you’re bigger than 6ft 3in 220lbs+ you will find that the max resistance level may not be as high as you want.

One of three Sunnyfit items I own. This is a very modestly priced rower that gives you a great workout. The magnetic resistance gives an even constant resistance. The Sunnyfit app is excellent and tracks all my workouts on the three different apparatuses and scale that I own.

Got this for my Birthday and after a small setup, I got to try it out. This rower works very well and I like the seat and the no-slip shoe holders are fantastic. The things I do not like are the pull rope feels a little chunky (not a deal breaker) and the display just keeps going back and forth. All in All a very good product. 4 stars.

The “Full Motion” does simulate oars better, giving you a better stretch of your shoulders. Resistance isn’t high, but just right (when set to max) for me to row at a moderate pace for 30 minutes. 2 thumbs up.
Monika –
I had to place this workout machine in a small room and despite my worries about space it ft well. It was easy to assemble too. the only thing I wish for is it would be nice to feel the generated airflow to cool me off while using it.
Jill –
Very easy to install. It probably took me about 45 minutes to put together. I’ve been having problems with my feet (plantar fasciitis) and I haven’t been able to work out. Now I can work out and enjoy it again.
Danielle –
Very easy to use. Good quality. Great for home workout.
Slide rail was damaged when received, but customer service was awesome sending replacement part.

I’ve had this machine for awhile now and it has held up very well. It’s been damaged over the years during moves, but the company has been super helpful and responsive about getting replacement parts. It’s also a good size for me. I’m 6’2 and 240lbs and it’s a good size for me. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would buy again anytime!
Naville –
Easy to set up and provides a good work out at a good value. The monitor is not that accurate as to calories burned.

I wanted a low-cost rower and wasn’t interested in all the bells and whistles of more expensive rowers. I have an Apple Watch so don’t really need the rower to monitor my own health metrics like calories. I use it at least 3 times a week. It’s quiet and durable and I haven’t had any issues in 2 years. I like the low profile as it sits on the floor in my home office but it’s not a giant eyesore like an elliptical or treadmill would be. I only have a couple of critiques that keep me from giving this a 5-star rating:. 1. There are a few metrics that it cycles through while you row: workout time, strokes during workout, calories during workout, and total strokes (cumulative over workouts). The time and strokes are useful for setting goals. The calories is pretty useless as it can’t be adjusted for age, size, or weight of rower. For example, my Apple Watch typically records about the double the calories that the Sunny rower does, probably because I’m a 57 yr old female, not a young man. 2. The total strokes is a waste because it only goes up to 10,000 and if you use the rower regularly, you will surpass that in less than a month. Also, when you have to change the battery, which I’ve done a couple a times, everything starts over anyway. So, it would have been better to replace those features with something like a strokes/min so you could monitor your pace. So, if you use a wearable fitness tracker, and want a rower that is reliable and far less expensive than other home exercise devices, I would recommend this one.

If you are just getting into rowing and want a machine you can set up at home, this might be what you’re looking for.
It’s fairly easy to set up, relatively quiet (though if you’re in an apartment your downstairs neighbors will definitely be able to hear it), and the resistance settings have a good range.
Raising and lowering the beam/chair portion does require a tool and some effort, which is something to keep in mind if you’re thinking about taking this out and putting it away before and after every use

I am 63 years old. 5-10, 185lbs. I have been using this machine for about two months now. I am happy with it, although I find the design of the seat to be very uncomfortable. I also noticed that on setting 1, the tension isn’t smooth. BUT, on all the other settings, it is smooth and other than the seat, I am very happy with this. I have been slowly working my way up the tension settings and can say I have noticeable improvement in my legs and upper body as far as muscle goes.

It was easy to assemble with very clear directions and all of the screws and smaller pieces were well labeled. The resistance settings are decent and had no issues swapping between them. The rail slides nicely and the cord retracts well. The stat tracker is fine, a bit basic but I wasn’t expecting fancy. I didn’t try the app at all so I’m not sure if that gives more info than the one on the machine. While it’s no Concept2 it’s a good product and a good workout.
There are some things I think could be improved though. The foot rests I feel move a bit too much. I’d like it more if they were more stationary. I’ve tightened the screws down as much as the provided tools will allow and when I’m returning to the start position the foot rests tilt up slightly which I could see causing some ankle issues. Also the wheels to move it are not in the best position. I have to tilt the machine pretty far forward to get the wheels to make contact and I did accidentally scratch my floor when trying to move it. The other thing it could use is some anti-slip pads on the front and back legs. I have my machine on a very smooth laminate wood floor and it slides around a bit when I’m pulling with force.
TL:DR: It is a good rowing machine. It’s not a Concept2 but if that’s what you are expecting just buy the Concept2. It does have a few minor issues but overall a good machine.
