I purchased this unit for $2999.99, which is a bargaine compared to other brands of smith machine I saw on here. I am pleased with the quality of the machine and would definitely buy it again. I based my decision to purchase on the reviews and I must say most of the reviews are spot on. The following is what I like about the unit and my minor criticisms of the unit.ASSEMBLY: I am a pretty handy guy and I must admit I was a bit dismayed when I unpackaged all the parts. It appears daunting at first. The instructions contain assembly diagrams only, which reference part numbers. There are four bubble packets that have every nut, bolt and washer. These packets go in order and contain all the hardware for the particular diagram you are currently working on. FOLLOW THE DIAGRAMS IN ORDER. Don’t skip a step or try to assembly line the process. Also, hand tighten every bolt and wait until everything is together to tighten up the bolts. You’ll need the play to get it all together. With regard to the cables, look closely at the diagram for the arrows indicating the path the cable must take. I made one mistake on these steps and had to re-do one of the cables. My one criticism is the steel parts may have a part number or may not. I found that only a few parts had the part number on it. So I just had to compare the part to the sketch on the diagram. There are 17 pulleys on the machine, 10 of one size and 7 of another size. No part numbers on the actual pulleys. Here, I had to look on the parts list to see that the pulley part number had either 7 or 10 to determine which one the diagram was referring to. Keep them separate. I used a ratchet wrench and a socket wrench instead of a crescent wrench and an Allen bit on my cordless drill instead of the Allen wrench included in the box. There are approximately 10 billion bolts on the machine and I found the alternate tools to be a time saver. I put it together myself with no help and it took about 8 hours. I believe it could be done much faster with two people.QUALITY: I am impressed with the quality of the machine for the price. The steel is solid and in most load bearing sections a steel gusset plate is provided at the connection providing extra strength and support for the bolt connections. The machine is sturdy with no rocking or displacement. A generous amount of accessories are included (long lat bar, seated row handle, rope pull down, T-bar pivot, crossover handles, ankle strap, etc.) The plate storage is ample and out of the way. However, beware of bumper plates that are all one size. The plate storage racks are designed for plates that are different sizes. Unfortunately, I bought bumper plates and I cannot utilize the center plate storage post because the plates collide. I have to use only the top and bottom post. The action on the Olympic bar slides and the pulleys is very smooth. However, you will need a light lubricant on the main post of the pulley rack. The collar that slides on the post would catch a little on the main post. I put a few drops of gun oil on the main post and it travels without catching now.CONCLUSION: For the money, this is a great machine. I am very happy with the purchase and would buy it again. For the price, this machine is a no brainer.The instructions are pretty cut and dry for the most part, other than the pulley wheels not being labeled properly and the sizing being confusing looking at the images on the instructions. Overall the assembly was intimidating at first with all the pieces, but within 6 hours I had it all assembled and put together by myself with a little help here and there from my fiancé to hold things for me from time to time. (I’m a 30 year old male, burly and strong but pretty out of shape, hence the reason for purchase.)I was looking at quite a few different options that were either double the price or triple the price, yet none of them had as much to offer as this system does. Paired with this store’s awesome service and free shipping, all signs pointed at this home gym for me. 100% pleased with my purchase and after two weeks of use, I’ve not found any cons that outweigh the value for the price. This is not a commercial grade machine, however it gets the job done and is built extremely well for what you pay.

The size isn’t too big but instruction is hard to read. Parts for the gym equipment comes in three different boxes with no order of installation. Instruction booklet has all parts numbered but parts itself does not have identifiable numbers on them so you have to look and compare to ensure you have the right part to install. I took time to install and it took me about 7 -8 total to install this gym set. One thing I did notice is that bumper plate holder spacing is small where, you can’t use middle holder if you purchased all same size bumper plate.

First time putting a home gym together. I’m not new to assembling things though. The instructions are in diagrams. Need some common sense to put it together.There is one issue on page 28 with the upper cable. Did not come assembled as pictured. I’ve uploaded photos.No parts missing. Hardware was very well labeled but parts were hit and miss.The Smith slides(?) were hard to figure out by looking at the diagram. Put them on wrong the first time. That was fun fixing later lolOverall, I would buy it again. Seems to be built well. Probably upgrade attachments too. Will update if anything breaks after usage.

My wife and I both have a history of working out but have struggled to find motivation or time in recent years. I, in particular, have really had trouble making (crossing out the word “finding” here lol) time to get to the gym, as I have been working 2 jobs for quite a while. A mixture of no gym and long days sitting in a desk chair have resulted in… well a desperate need to MAKE time for the gym, lol.We’ve been slowly trying to assemble a home gym, adding a treadmill and rowing machine, cables, etc. But it always felt a bit limited, which in turn made it harder to get motivated. So we finally decided to pull the trigger and complete our gym properly with a full workout machine. Though the space we have is actually very large for a home gym, it’s still after all in-home, and our space was limited, so a good combo all-in-one machine was essential.We shopped for a while and settled on this Smith machine. Though it was a bit over our original budget, it offered the ability to perform several exercises that other machines we saw on 100 spartans did not, and we decided it was worth the purchase.In the end, I’d say that was MORE than correct! I could write at length how impressed we were with the quality of the materials, or the final look of the machine. But, you can see the photos attached to judge the look for yourself. And while I can tell you we were more than pleasantly surprised by the quality of the materials for the price we paid, I think this story explains it best:We hired a handyman to do the assembly for us (as noted above, my time is limited, and I’m also just not great with more than basic assembly). When he arrived – I swear this is true – pretty much the first thing he said, after he opened the first of the boxes was, “How much did you pay?” And when I told him $2999, he asked “Where can I buy one?” No joke LOL. So, we can say this is an “assembler-approved device.”Anyway, the assembly itself took a while to get everything configured, the cables run and so forth (he was working alone). I would guess that the assembly is better as a 2-person job, or at least to be done by someone with some know-how when it comes to assembly, but the result was well worth it!Overall, I would highly recommend this Smith machine for a variety of reasons. Quality for the price is a big part of it, but also the fact that it offers butterfly exercises, and several leg exercises that are less readily available on other machines (even though that are much more expensive) makes it a great deal 🙂

I was looking to upgrade my workout room and wanted something safe for my son who has started lifting weights preparing for high school football. After doing a ton of research I decided on this model. I purchase bumper weights and a REP AB-3100 bench separately. The REP bench does allows for incline bench pressing but with not a ton of room to spear. The assembly was easy for me 2.5 hr (but I am very mechanically inclined I love putting Ikea furniture together) plan on 4 hr. You will need a 2nd pair of hand for step 1-4 but after that it can be a one person job. As all other reviews said, assemble machine then tighten all the bolts down. System will definitely last a long time if your worried about room height. You can eliminate the pull up bar and save about 4 inches off the top. For me it wouldn’t be a big loss with no pull up bar because your legs tend to hit the benching bar with doing pull ups.

In the middle of the installation I noticed I was missing a couple pieces, I emailed the company as stated on the instructions, and they replied to my email and express shipped the parts immediately within 6 hours of my first email. This shipped in 3 weight manageable boxes (FedEx left them in the middle of the driveway but alas) and I could easily move them into the garage.Every piece was exact and I had no modification to perform. In fact, might I suggest opening everything up before to get acclimated with what you have.Easy to assemble but it did take me all afternoon. Might have gone quicker with help. Looking forward to many years of using this instead of giving my money to the commercial gyms!

I don’t like to hang about other people so a home gym was a way better option for me than a gym membership. I knew I wanted a smith machine for the additional safety while working out alone. This machine does everything I wanted and a few extra things as well.I was able to set it by myself with no issues. It took me about 6 hours to do so but about 45 minutes to an hour was just unpacking everything. There is no one step is hard or anything but there are a lot of steps and you have to pay careful attention to each picture on whether you need to tighten everything up to that step or leave it loose. I do recommend having a socket wrench on hand as while all the necessary tools are provided you will hate your life if you try to tighten about 100 lock nuts with 2 box wrenches

I highly recommend this machine. It’s well built and fairly easy to assemble. Just takes a little while. Everything is very easy to use and feels very sturdy.I had a small issue that required customer service from the 100 spartans Store. They were very fast to respond and very friendly! I highly recommend 100 spartans as well.For the money, this is probably the best machine out there. Plus, a good company selling it just in case you need them.

After 5 months of waiting, I finally found the perfect home gym. My package arrived boxed nicely with 2 missing parts. I reached out to 100 spartans who advised me to return the entire machine for a refund. (I’m glad I didn’t) I posted a question and within minutes the seller messaged me with assistance.I was also having issues with the smith bar and the seller told me exactly what to do and offered to replace the part. The only con is the instructions. If you have OCD like myself….good luck. I completed it in 13 hours.

I can’t say enough good things about this. This is a very good quality product. I have used this machine since May of 2023. There are so many different exercises that can be done. I stopped going to my local gym once I started using this machine. The customer service is amazing. I had a small problem with the cables and contacted customer service through email they provided. If you’re looking to setup your first home gym, think no further, this smith machine checks many of the boxes. It is versatile and you can’t find a better deal. So far the Smith machine looks sturdy, doesn’t tilt when using the pullups bar and the pulleys are smooth. The instructions could be better but if coupled with the video instructions you will be fine. Just reach out to their customers for any instructions hiccup you may face.

used to have the equivalent Marcy Smith machine and this “SunHome” version beats or equals it in every facet. I was lucky and happened to be searching at the right time and got this product for 66% off, with discounts and coupons.My only critique/warning: the chrome face of the rack had burrs on the inner edges and I cut a finger on it when I grabbed the post(see picture). I remedied this by taking a file down both inner edges of the chromed faces on both of the fore-posts.
